Beginning of an end

One by one they fall like pins,
Am no more relevant.
No love, me punished for my sins,
I’m cast away like a mis-born infant.

I knew this day would come,
I’d be alone, tears keeping company.
Misunderstood, me a hatred sanctum,
No more I seek to survive this journey.

Wondered have I, what’d ensue
When I cease to exist.
Love, sorrow and tears a few,
A couple months that’d persist.

Would my absence be torment?
How long before memories put to rest?
To whom my love most meant?
Questions galore, ended distressed.

Now and then I faced daggers,
I lasted the cries of blame,
Never I stopped loving hers,
But could not foretell what became.

Standing she was, looking away,
Least perturbed, my beautiful maiden.
Kneeled over me with a smile to allay
All pain, the other lass, her face lambent.

Realized... lying I was on the ground,
My eyes laid sight on the shining metal,
Pierced breast emanating pain profound,
Bemused me, a closing life turned a speckle.

Staggered by stormy events around, this is a depiction of a vision/nightmare. Still clouded by fears of this happening.
